Congrats to Cedars High School and Elementary students for their success in Speech Arts Competitions this year! A few highlights are:
- Andrew I. won the chance to compete in “Provincials” from the Prince George Festival
- Kate B. winning “Merited Participant” (runner-up) in Provincials from the Penticton festival.
- Mrs. Fisher’s Grade 3 class winning the Choral Speaking category at the Prince George Festival (and being asked to share their performance of Roald Dahl’s “Little Red Riding Hood” in the Honours Festival)
Despite the pandemic, whether live over zoom, or recorded, many of our Cedars students went on to earn top honours at local festivals. Cedars is glad to honour excellence in the arts and encourage students to “find” their voice and use it with skill!
