Welcome to Cedars Christian School! We are thrilled to have you join the Cedars community, and we look forward to partnering with you to live out our mission of Educating and equipping discerning disciples of Jesus Christ for restorative work in His Kingdom.
Over the next couple of weeks, you will receive six emails (including this one) with information on what steps need to be taken next, what life is like at Cedars, and what you can look forward to in the next year. Today’s email has three simple things to do that will help you start settling in to our school.
1) Don’t miss out on receiving our emails!
In order for us to comply with the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (or CASL, implemented July 1, 2014), we need to know if you would like to continue receiving email communications from us. We ask that you confirm your email subscription by clicking on the green button below. (not available in this post)
How often will we send you email?
We rely on our weekly newsletter (The Cedars Shake) to get valuable information to your family about what is happening around Cedars. It highlights things like:
- Up-coming events
- Reminders about days off
- Volunteer opportunities
- And much more!
We may also occasionally send special emails or an email series throughout the school year.
2) Make Your Tuition Deposit
If you have not already done so, please submit a non-refundable tuition deposit in the amount of $500.00 as soon as possible. You may pay at the school or online on our Payments Page.
Also, if we have not seen your child(ren)’s birth certificate(s) yet, please bring those to the office as soon as possible.
3) Buy School Supplies
We have a school supply list available for you on our Forms Page. This list is usually updated each June for the next school year, so if you are joining us mid-year, the supplies listed will be what you need to purchase. If you are awaiting the start of next year, watch The Cedars Shake (our e-newsletter) for notice about when the lists have been updated.
That’s it for today! We’ll see you in a couple of days with information on how to communicate with the school and the teachers, and how the school communicates with you. See you then!
