The Senior Boys and Girls returned from their respective Provincial Volleyball Championships, and both were memorable experiences not soon forgotten.

The Girls finished the seven-team round-robin play in 3rd place with a record of 4-2. However, they ran into a solid Charles Bloom team and lost their quarter final match 3-0 and then lost close 2-1 matches to Ebenezer (Smithers) and Fort St. James, our friendly rivals of the north. Maddie E. was selected as a 2nd Team All-Star and Bella M. was chosen the Top Libero!

A big thank you to Coaches Jeff Ludditt and Ashleigh Rempel for pushing them all week, to Mrs. Wilson for preparing the meals (with a little help from Mr. Wilson), and Mr. Wall for his impeccable bus driving.

The Boys went in as the #2 seed, but faced the other top four teams in their pool and ended up dropping from 2nd to 6th after pool play. However, they came together in a thrilling quarter-final match against #3 Credo Christian, coming back from 2-0 to win 3-2. They then faced #1 Abbotsford Christian where once again they were in tough. Unfortunately, they lost 3-0 but the last set went all the way to 33-31!! This loss put our boys in the bronze medal match versus host Nanaimo Christian and they prevailed 3-1 to be crowned the 2021 BCSS BOYS “A” Bronze Medalists! To top off a great week, Mitch C. was selected as a First Team All-Star and Tony K. was selected as a Second Team All-Star!

Thank you to Mr. Crosina and Mrs. Taylor for coaching and encouraging them all week long. And thank you to those donors who helped enable them to fly to Nanaimo to participate in Provincials
