School Missions

School Missions

Throughout their time at Cedars, children are exposed to a wide variety of service and mission opportunities. Elementary students experience serving and giving in short-term classroom and field trip scenarios such as visits to seniors, growing and giving fresh food to local food banks, and garbage collection along North Nechako Road.

Our high school students have two larger mission experiences in which they may take part. Grade 11 classes take a 1-week trip to Vancouver where they serve with Youth with a Mission (YWAM). It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn about the challenges that street people face and to experience serving a variety of people.

Senior high school students are invited travel to Jericho Ministries in Honduras in the spring of each year. The impact of this trip has proven to change hearts and lives, both in our students and the people at Jericho Ministries. It’s these transformations that keep us going back year after year!

Ways to Help

Bottle Donations

There is an account set up at the Nechako Bottle Depot under the name of “Cedars – Honduras Team”. If you would like to donate your empty beverage containers toward the Honduras trip, you can request that the money go to that account. Every little bit helps!

We appreciate the prayers of the whole community as we prepare for the trip! You can ask for the Lord’s blessing with such things as travel logistics, preparing the hearts of the team, preparing the hearts of those we are going to minister to/with, and successful fundraising efforts. Thank you so much for partnering with us in this way.
