Principal’s Update March 25, 2022
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
We hope that you have been able to spend some meaningful time with friends and family over the past two weeks. We are looking forward to welcoming you and your children back to school on Monday!
As mentioned before the break, changes to province-wide restrictions have been announced and health and safety updates have been posted for work and learning in K-12 school settings. Following conversations with our Occupational Health and Safety Committee, school administration and Board, we have updated our school’s Communicable Disease Prevention Plan (March 24, 2022).
Please note that in updated provincial guidance, “the decision to wear a mask or face covering is a personal choice for staff, students and visitors”. In other words, masks are no longer required in K-12 settings. We will continue to show respect to those who choose to wear a mask, and to those who do not. Disposable masks will continue to be made available at the main office to those who need one.
Please take some time to review the new Plan and associated links prior to our return to school on Monday. If you have any questions or concerns, please direct them to me via email or phone call.
Blessings,
Shane Nelson
Principal
