Online Parent/Caregiver Information Sessions
Being a parent/caregiver is an awesome and sometimes daunting responsibility. To equip you with more information and support, please consider checking out the following online sessions hosted by FamilySmart on a range of topics.
FamilySmart’s “In the Know”: The topic this month is Eating Disorders. There are 5 dates to choose from each month, and Registration is free. Coming up: “A Conversation for Families About Digital Wellbeing and Mental Health,” in March. In April: “Understanding, Supporting, and Connecting With Teens With Depression.” Registration is open for all of these events, and anyone is free to join.
Help for the Hard Times is a free Zoom workshop, open to any caregiver in the Northern Health region whose child has attended hospital because of a mental health / substance use concern. We focus on: 1) Helping caregivers to support their child’s safety plan, 2) Self-care and boundaries, and 3) Navigating and understanding resources. Please see the attached flyer for registration details.
