November Food Drive for the Life Center
From November 7th to 29th, Cedars is partnering with the Life Center by doing a FOOD DRIVE.
The Life Center is a Christian-based organization that helps feed and care for the homeless in downtown Prince George. They rely entirely on donations to provide the programs and services for those who come to them. If you would like to contribute money instead of food, the Life Center can issue tax receipts.
A current need is non-perishable food items for food hampers. They also run a breakfast program three mornings a week and they are in need of margarine, peanut butter, jam, marmalade and Cheez Whiz.
As a school (K-12), we will be collecting these items for the whole month of November. Please have your child bring their items to their classroom when they come in the morning. Check out the progress chart in the foyer of the new gym as you drive by for drop-off or pick up! The students are excited to bring in their food and have even issued challenges to other classes to meet or beat their class goal!
Much thanks for your generosity, in advance.
