… We are about thinking, applying, and service
Academics: Students aren’t just going to learn facts and formulas; they are going to learn ways of thinking and also how to apply learning with discernment because they are equipped with the “big picture” view of their place in God’s world.
We know we have a strong academic program because we have students who graduate from here and then go to every university in BC and many more across North America. Our students who want to go to the big universities have no problem not just getting there, but also thriving there.
Athletics: Students at Cedars will be well-equipped to play any sport they choose. Students begin to learn to understand and respect that the rules and opponents are there in order for the game to happen.
Arts: Students learn how to act, play musical instruments, and showcase their talents. They come to understand that when they do, they are bringing the glory to God.
Service: When students know they can actually help other people – regardless of their age or grade – there is a growing sense of confidence. They feel like they are doing something that matters and is important.
When our students are given opportunities to give now, they will seek to do so when they are older. We see students leave us and continue to volunteer later in life.
