In-Class Instruction Suspended – Learning to Continue
Earlier today, Minister Rob Fleming announced (download the Ministry of Ed’s Parent Letter here in PDF format) that all BC schools are to “immediately suspend in-class instruction until further notice”. Schools are expected to “implement a variety of measures to ensure continued learning for students”. Our school administration team have been processing the developments over the past week, and will be engaging our staff in the coming days with respect to staff and learning continuity. As we determine the shape of this new learning landscape, we will keep students and parents apprised of details. Please stay tuned to this webspace for announcements regarding school continuance as we near the end of Spring Break. Know that Cedars is committed to continuing its mission throughout this school closure.
No doubt, this announcement raises a myriad of questions for students and parents regarding grade/course completion. Some of these questions are addressed in Minister Fleming’s letter linked to above; others will be answered in the coming days.
Our world is faced with a significant challenge, and we ask that our community come together in prayer and support for one another. In the midst of “social distancing” and “self-isolation”, may we continued to be known by our love.
