Dear Parents/Caregivers,

Further to our communique earlier this week, we ask that all parents/caregivers take time to review the following information and action items.

First of all, please note that a full return to school for K-12 students has been delayed until Monday, January 10th under a revised order by our Provincial Health Officer.

Preschool classes do not fall under this order and will continue as scheduled next week, starting on Tuesday, January 4th.

Afterschool care will continue to be provided for those previously registered for this service during the week of Jan 4-7.

We understand that this delayed start may be a challenge for many of our families. On-site care will be provided next week (Jan 4-7) for children of essential service workers and vulnerable learners (students with special needs and/or mental health concerns; students who have missed school and would benefit from remedial support). If your family qualifies under this criteria, please complete the following survey before Monday, January 3 so we can prepare elementary and high school spaces and staffing to meet this need. School administration may also reach out to some families with targeted invites based on staff recommendations early next week.

Next week, we will issue a revised Communicable Disease Prevention Plan that outlines our application of the enhanced health and safety measures announced by the province earlier this week. Please direct any questions or concerns to our school Principal, Shane Nelson.
