We are pleased to see the restart of BC School Sports this Fall! Our high school volleyball season is underway, and for the first time since March 2020, our community is invited to attend and cheer on our teams in gymnasiums around Prince George. A big thank you to Steve Wilson, our Athletic Director, and staff / community coaches for the time and energy they are investing to make this possible!

Although there is no proof of vaccination requirement for attending youth sporting events in public and independent schools in the Northern Health region at this time, we ask all of our community spectators to respect the health and safety protocols in place at these venues, including: wearing a mask while indoors, practicing hand hygiene upon entry, and signing in at the front doors for contract tracing purposes. As guests in others’ spaces, we call upon our community to demonstrate respect to game and tournament organizers. Let us be a blessing and not a burden.

And finally, let’s remember to “cheer for, not against” and support the development of these young people who are courageously battling it out on the courts in front of peers and adults they respect. As our school theme reminds us, let us be known “By Our Love“, not our poor sportsmanship. Go Eagles!
