Senior Girls Volleyball at Provincials

Our Senior Girls Volleyball team had a very successful provincial tournament in Castlegar this past week.

After a less than stellar start where they lost all 3 round robin matches, they dropped to 13th in the rankings. As a result they took on #4-ranked Immaculata in the round of 16 and played well, taking a set from Immaculata before losing 3-1. The best they could now finish would be 9th of 16 teams.

In their next three matches, our girls began to find their groove and defeated Ebenezer, Duncan Christian, and Vancouver Christian to actually end up in 9th place! And to top it off, they were selected as the Most Sportsmanlike Team of the tournament! A big thank you to coaches Jeff Ludditt and Deb Taylor for their tireless efforts and inspiration over the course of the season.

Basketball News

On another note, the Senior Boys Basketball Team started their season off on a good note, winning the bronze medal at the Dawson Creek tournament. Their only loss was to AAAA North Peace Secondary School 86-73. Their next tournament is this weekend at NVSS in Vanderhoof.

The Junior Boys kick off their season at Kelly Road with their first game at 8:00 vs PGSS.
