Exciting Expansion News!
As discussed at the last Society meeting, we are excited to move forward with the next phase in our building expansion. The plans include completion of 4100 sq ft on the main floor of our new facility in the coming months. This space will have three new classrooms, two change rooms, office space, and a staff washroom. We want to complete this project as soon as possible to make use of this space in the 2024/25 school year (or earlier!).
The great news is that the process has already begun! The floor was finished and polished last week. Please see the pictures below.
Next steps include: obtaining a building permit, erecting walls, drywalling, and completing electrical, mechanical, ducting, heating, fixtures and drop ceilings.
The budget for this project is approximately $200,000. We have already received gifts in kind, with donated hours and materials at cost. We have some money that was donated and in place, but not enough to finish the job. We know many of you have given so generously, for which we are grateful, and we ask those who can to consider giving over the next couple of months to help get this project across the finish line.
