In celebration of Canadian School Library Day on Monday, October 24, we will be participating in a number of fun activities to cultivate a love of reading and books. We will have D.E.A.R (drop everything and read) as well as a book character dress up day on Friday, October 28. On this day, we encourage all children to dress up as their favourite book character and to bring in the book that the character is from. Although swords, guns, lightsabers, etc. may be part of your child’s costume, we do ask that these are not brought to school as it may lead to play fights and possibly injuries.
