We are pleased to share three after school opportunities for our grade 6-12 students that will begin as early as next week. Registration for these programs is required. Some of the options will have limited capacity, so early registration is encouraged.

Option 1: Cedars Eagles Club Sports Program

Inter-school sports are on hold for at least the Fall. We acknowledge the disappointment this brings to many of our students, especially those grade 12 athletes as this is their last year playing high school sports. However, Cedars wants to encourage continued participation in sport.

To that end, Cedars would like to offer training and playing time in each of our cohorts for any and all interested students from grades 6-12. We envision this to be a co-ed, club-like format with some intramural elements. This program will run in three windows of time after school, Monday-Thursday.

If your child is interested in participating in this sports program, please take time before Friday, September 18th to complete the survey linked below.

Option 2: eSports Club

We know that many of our students enjoy playing video games, and are hoping to create some meaningful connections between students through curated team game play in our school computer lab on Tuesdays between 3:15-4:00pm. This club will be open to students in the grade 5/6, 7, 8/9, and 10-12 cohorts, and restricted to a maximum of 20 students. If your child is interested in registering and/or if you would like more information about specific games played and key goals, please contact supervising teacher, Matthew Ceaser at directly.

Option 3: Study Hall

If your grade 8-12 child(ren) need or would like a quiet space to work on homework between 3-4pm, they can sign-in with the supervising staff member in the designated Grade 8/9 or Grade 10-12 cohort study room immediately following dismissal on any weekday except Wednesdays. Students who are not signed up for study hall (or any other after school option) must be picked up before 3:15pm (1:50pm, Wednesdays).
